What I’ve Been Doing

I’ve haven’t wrote in my blog in a while. I just added the wordpress app for iPhone so I should be able to post more often, but you may see a lot of grammatical errors. Not to say there would be any more then me posting through my computer.

Ok enough of that, so since the last I wrote I’ve gotten two distribution offers for The Grunts (but no up front money), I’ve written a full feature screenplay (called RUNNER), and I’m currently working on another screenplay which will more than likely be my next project.

Things have been steady rolling. I love just creating new material. I also did my first commercial contest on popTent. I was very conservative with the first one, but I plan to do more.

Check it out.

More to come from me.

What’s on My Mind?

What’s on my mind? A lot. So far I’ve submitted The Grunts to 3 film festivals. The earliest one should let me know if the film got in by February 9th. Uhh!!! I hate waiting, but according to their website waiting it good. My twitter got hacked and everyone thinks I know some type of rumor about them. LOL!!! And finding investor(s) for my next feature film.

The Grunts

Kino with Gun

I’ve been finishing up the script for my next project. I would love to get some type of funding for this one. Shooting a film with no money is so hard. I live in Hollywood and I see these production companies throwing away so much money. Why not take a big budget movie, skim one or two days off of the production days and use the money you save from the two days to fund an ultra low budget movie like mine. And then you can have two movies in the market. Another thing to add to that is take that A-list actor from the big budget movie and have them do a cameo in the low budget film (1 min at most) and put that 1 min in the trailer, and can I say it MONEY!!! I’m telling you, some smart producer is going to read this and tones of money. I wish I had the connections to make it happen.

All in all I’m very happy that I was able to produce The Grunts on my own. It gave me a lot of confidence as a director, editor and producer. It has also taught me a lot that I will apply to my next project.

Expect the mock-up poster for my next project in the coming months.

The Grunts movie trailer

Ok. So I’ve finished the trailer for The Grunts (See the Trailer below). And now it’s time to see if I can get some type of distribution deal. So far I submitted the film to 3 festivals and I’m thinking of submitting it to some movie blogs for reviews. The scary part is that this is a $7,000 film and not $7,000,000. Don’t get me wrong I am very very happen with what I’ve done with this movie. Hopefully it’s on the big screen day for everyone to checkout.

I love making films. They are a headache sometimes, but they are lots of fun. Hopefully before the start of the next project I can find a producer and/or Production Company that would want to fund the film (that would make it a lot easier). While I try to market this film I will see if I can find an agent and manger to help me out with my career. Wish me luck!!!

Don’t worry I have more projects to come. They only get bigger.

Multifarious

So I’ve finished Multifarious teaser. And now I’m hoping a rich person comes and along and gives me 10 million dollars to make the movie. I could make the movie with $400,000 and a box of twixs. I’m trying to build up as much press as I can for free.

I’ve also been developing a super low-budget script, that I feel I can start shooting at the end of November going into the new year. So good things have started to happen. Nothing is getting me money, but it is getting me very helpful resources that I can use.

I’m through with sending my work out to agents and producers. I haven’t been getting any responses. It haven’t gotten me down, but it is somewhat discouraging. I will continue to move. I’m not going to do anymore shorts all features from here on out. I’m loving the canon 7D and it’s quality. I will shoot my next project all gorilla style using that camera.

Book of a 1000 Deaths

So production begins this week on a new horror film called Book of a 1000 Deaths. The film will be directed by Andretti Dante. I will apart of the crew doing some editing, visual effects and anything else that is need. Filming will start June 17th and Run to July 1st.
Book of 1000 Deaths

Lila The Legend Teller and her frisky sidekick Whiskers brings you four stories that are more then just myths or fairy tales ….these are urban legends, with endings that are far from happy. This movie will be super, super scary!!! No joke. And I’m not just saying that because I’m apart of the filming crew.

Multifarious

So I’m trying to see if I can take the next step up and see if I can get funding to put into a film. My last two projects was done with a couple of hundred dollars and help from nice people. This time would be great to see what I can do with some money. I putting forth my screenplay, which I’m call Multifarious.

Multifarious has a non-linear story line that takes a look at various sides of the recreational drug game. It has action, lots of comedy, and some hot hot romance. It’s not a good representation of the feel of the movie, but it will do for now.

I’ve budgeted this film for $300,000 very low range and $14 million for the high range. I would love to find a producer that can get the money for production. If that’s you feel free to go to my site. www.elapfilms.com and send me an e-mail. I’ve also put up a sit for the film www.multifariousmovie.com . Check it out. Hopeful you will see it on the big screen.

2000 views in One Day

Just wanted to write a quick post. My video on openfilm.com got editor’s choice the other day. I received over 2,000 views on that day. That the most hits that I’ve ever gotten.

So check out the video and add to my views. Also please rate my video on there. That would be helpful as well.

The Gofer

Hey, so I finished up editing my short film. I’m calling it THE GOFER. This is my first short film, which I wrote in just a day. You may notice in one of the instance seems to change. That’s because we were kick out of the original location by the police. I couldn’t afford to buy permits so we had to move to a different location. It all worked out.

So what’s next? I have a feature film script that I’d had for a while. I’m hoping that someone would maybe want to put some money into it. It’s an action comedy with a lot of heart. It’s available if you want to talk to me about it. I will be registration that script after I run to the bank.

Anyways, I very interested in knowing what you think of my film.
